When it comes to what to wear, we’re all in this together, says menswear designer James A. Martin, who founded the brand in 2000 with the goal of making shirts with more body and less text.
With more than 25 years of experience designing for men, Martin has created a variety of shirts for men to fit different needs and budgets.
Some have body hugging shirts, which are ideal for casual wear.
Others are more casual, with a body shirt that’s more athletic.
Some are a little more formal, with an athletic shirt that’ll make a statement on a night out.
And others are more formal for a formal event, like the wedding, or a formal evening out.
When it came to sizing, Martin says it’s not a matter of “who you are” but a matter “of how you dress.”
“The shirt is the most important piece of clothing,” he says.
“And if it doesn’t have enough pockets, it’s going to feel a little tight, or it’s just not going to be the right fit for you.
And if it’s too long, you’re going to look like a dork.”
Here are Martin’s top picks for what to choose.
